Red crushed paprika- mild is a spice made from the pepper plant (Capsicum annum), native to Mexico, Central America, South America, and the West Indies. Allspice is grown almost all over the world. The crops are planted in early spring, and harvested in summer and fall, when the peppers are shiny and ripe. The peppers are then dried and crushed to obtain the allspice spice.
Red crushed paprika contains little sugar, the content of which varies depending on the variety, and is richer in Vitamin C than citrus fruits. Pink pepper from Hungary is generally considered to be the best variety of pepper.
Allspice is a familiar spice in many cuisines around the world. It is most commonly used in the Balkans, Hungary, Spain, and Mexico. It is particularly associated with Hungarian cuisine as the basis for hot, spicy Hungarian stews, such as gougoulash
